I'm here, I promise.
This week has been hectic..work for three days straight and then ship my sister off to college. Two very daunting tasks. But now that it's over and done with, I can now say that a) I desperately wish I could go to college and b) I am now the proud recipient of my sister's car. So all in all, things aren't too shabby, eh?
Oh and let me not forget to mention that I had some serious luck thrifting yesterday. My mom and I made our rounds to the salvation army near my sister's school and I had good fortune, seeing as how I found two pairs of heels, an oversized boyfriend blazer, a cropped blazer, and a vest for a mere $12! I can't decide if the satisfaction comes from the thrill of finding the bargain or the actual items that I got for that bargain..but in the end, a smile was plastered on my face.
And then, after round one, we picked up my sister and her roommate in order to knock out round two. We went all over the place to run little errands for things they needed for their dorm, but squeezed in a little chunk of time to do a more shopping. We went to this store that we have known about forever and I scored a few things, to say the least.
1. THE LOOT *NOTICE THE FALL COLORS!*
2. UO STUDDED JACKET $20 (!!)
3. BROWN BAG $10 (!!!)
4. THRIFTED PUMPS $2 EACH (!!!!)
5. THRIFTED PUMPS #1
6. THRIFTED PUMPS #2
7. CONTRIBUTOR BY RACHEL COMEY OXFORDS $10
Now, before you "oohhh" and "ahhhh" over the last pair of Rachel Comey's as much as I did, it wasn't until I got that home that I realized both are left footed. This little surprise put a damper on my morning, but I'm going to go back to the store and see if they have any others. I spent a good bit of time scavenging online stores for a pair, but I had no such luck. I knew $10 was too good to be true!
welp, that's it for now, I'll try to post more this week.
adios bloggies!

Lose a sister, gain a car. Not the worst deal - until boy troubles arise, that is. :P
ReplyDeleteLOVE your new buys, Emily; I just bought a similar motorcycle jacket myself - studs and all. I cannot wait to wear it!! :)
This is a wonderful blog :) And a car is wonderful, as long as it doesn't start to become a second closet like mine did for a while with all the stuff I'd leave in it. But other than that love the fall colors and am incredibly jealous of anything that looks remotely like it is made of tweed.
ReplyDeleteahhh love all of those!! i have shoes just like the bottom lace up pumps :] absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeletelove you! hope all is well :]
Thrifting!!!! And thrifting with YOU...my mind just exploded from the awesomeness of that idea.
