the simple life

I've been letting the imperfections in my life slide.
That's what life is about, right?
Living with what you have, taking it as it comes.

If I earned a B, I'll take it.
If I'm hungry, I am going to eat.
If I want to hang out with someone, I'll be there.
If I want to wear something totally and completely outrageous, watch out.

I think we forget that life isn't meant to be cookie-cutter perfect.  It isn't about being the skinniest girl in the room, the best student, the perfect friend.  It's about being yourself and being happy with just that.  It's about loving all the wonderfully wrong things in your life that, ironically, are just right.

All in all, it seems to me people make life way more complicated than it really is.
It's really as simple as this...
take what you got and love it. accept it. welcome it.
if you can't, then learn to love it.
because life is too short not to.

Goodnight
sweet dreams!
xoxo

everything you said was so true. life is about living, not being perfect. we do forget that so often but it is important to keep in the forefront of our stressed out little brains!!

  6. How do you have so many cute outfits/clothes? Hoooow? Seems like you have a bajillion awesome pieces of clothing and I'm mega jealous. ;)

Life is definitely too short for us to keep fretting the unimportant things. I want to realize that NOW and not when I'm around 50.

  8. You are a philosophical genius.
Life is too short to waste it away on pointless, meaningless and trivial things.
Life is meant to be lived!

Thanks so much for letting us in to your beautiful mind, Emily.
You never fail to bring a smile to my face.

    Love always,

and anonymous- you are an asshole- if you are concerned about her weight, please approach it in a nicer, more constructive way. That will only make her feel worse.
