1. Proyecto
Over the past week or so I have been painting away. What have I been painting you ask? Well…
This is the beginning stage of my ‘inspiration board’. I am going to put a big bulletin board in the middle of the frame and put anything on it that affects or influences me. I still have more to do to the frame, but I’ll have the end result up soon :)
2. Music of the week
I am head over heels for Bon Iver and his music. This week my speakers have been playing “Skinny Love” and “Roslyn” over and over. Also, I can’t help but love Lady Gaga and her song “Bad Romance”. Not to mention the new song “Meet Me Halfway” by the Black Eyed Peas featuring Nelly Furtado has me humming the tune unconsciously.
3. One Size Fits All
I have mentioned Crystal Renn a few times here on the blog – she is a model, but also a motivator for women, any shape and size, to embrace their bodies. Recently Renn has been photographed for V Magazine, opposite model Jacquelyn Jablonski. Despite the size difference, they both manage to appear beautiful and, of course, glamorous.
This, to me, is a symbol of hope for all women who constantly compare themselves to the idea of ‘thin’ that’s portrayed throughout the media. No matter the size, everyone is beautiful.
Check out more about the article here.
4. Buh bye break.
Sad but true, I return to school tomorrow. Hopefully it won’t be as much of a rude awakening as I think it will be. Are you dreading going back to school or are you ready to get back to your regular routine?
5. and I want to thank my mom…
No, I won’t bore you with a speech, but I did receive this award from the wonderful Vanilla from Vanilla Swirl!
