funk

Okay, so I think I’ve been sitting here for the past hour trying to figure out what to write in this post.  I have so much to say, but I just really don’t know how to say it.

a. I have been in a ‘funk’ lately.

b. I also have been feeling that everything I do is not enough.  I feel incapable.

c. I hope this all goes away by Saturday, because it’s a super special day :)

These things are simple, yet complex – so explaining them is very difficult.  It’s weird, I feel more in touch with reality but at the same time I feel completely zoned out.

How do you deal with being in a ‘funk’?

Onto other things…

Right now I am PRAYING to the snow gods to sprinkle someone wonderful, white goodness.  Not having to go to school tomorrow would be heavenly!

Do you have any ‘snow day’ dances, rituals, or prayers that you make or have made in the past?  Please do share :)  I’m sure there are some interesting ones out there.

I’ll have looks next post, the camera wasn’t in my reach tonight.  My mom took it back after I had been holding it hostage :)  What can I say….DSLR = love.

Sweet dreams!

Thanks to we heart it for the pictures.

  1. Oh I am sorry to hear you are in a funk, hmmm I am actually of no help and I usually just sulk in self pity when I am in a funk lol. But hopefully it will pass and when you get your snow day tomorrow (cuz you will) you can enjoy the day bad-mood free :)

  6. Funk. I've been in one of those every morning for the past few days. I do not know why. My way of dealing with it? Me hoping that it'll just go away.. productive, I know.

I hope you banish the funk before Saturday!! I want to know why it's so special. :o

  8. When I get into a funk, I usually just try to ride it out. Because eventually it will pass. In the meantime, look at weheartit, look up inspirational quotes, and start a gratitude journal. Just writing down one thing that I am thankful for each day has made a world of difference for me.

Snow day! I don't have school today because of my schedule, but the school I work for has a snow day, so I don't have to work today! Woo!

  10. oh honey everyone has their days/weeks/hell, even MONTHS. the most important thing is to remain positive and optimistic that there ARE better days to come and that the "funk" is only temporary. Hang in there, keep your mind distracted, and if you ever need to vent you know where to kind me, k? *hugs*

  11. I don't know what it is about winter, but it puts me into a fuck too, well actually more of a rut. To get out of this fuck I usually reaslize that I need to take a day of rest. A chance to veg- maybe that's what you need? Take your best friend and go shopping or go see Princess and the Frog. Or, if it helps, just hang out by yourself and sleep, read, relax!

Big day on Saturday! I hope you get to feeling better!

  12. Music is my savior whenever I'm in a funk - it totally takes me out of it. And a cuddle or two with a teddy doesn't hurt either - yes, I still adore stuffed animals!! :)
