sunday sum-up

1. 5 days.

Whoda thunk?  Christmas in 5 days!?  Craziness - pure insanity.  Despite the abrupt arrival, I am merely swimming in joy of the holiday season.  My ipod is playing my Christmas playlist non-stop and I find myself dazzled by the flickering of holiday lights and the spirit within a shopping mall.  What really gets you into the Christmas mood?

2. Song of the week

Currently obsessed with - Sleepyhead by Passion Pit :)

3. I heart it

I’m thinking about contacting the people from we heart it, because they seriously need to change their name to I heart it.  Every time I’m bored and want something to do, I get online and go on their website.  I find myself mesmerized by the photographs I discover – they are all so beautiful and well put together.  What photos do you heart lately?  Here are some I have found…

4. Nerves

This season is probably the  most stressful time of the year for girls dealing with food issues, when it’s supposed to be family-oriented and full of love.  I am trying to mentally prepare and relax for the upcoming few days.  It’s especially nerve racking because lately I’ve been more obsessive than usual :/  How do you all cope with holiday feasts?  What do you do to relax?

5. Random but interesting

Have you all seen the I’m Pregnant and have an eating disorder on Discovery Health?  Pretty interesting stuff, not only interesting, but threatening.  I don’t want be in that position, never ever ever ever.  I want to get rid of this thing so the opportunity to have children will even be a possibility.  If you haven’t watched it, I really recommend you do so.  It shows how life would be like if you were still ED possessed as a mother, which is definitely a scary thought.  Check it out.

6.  And the award goes to…

I have received the following award from the wonderful miss Emily and Sam, thank you so much for your kindness :)

Here goes my seven things -

1. My middle name is Jane.

2. I am the “mother” of all my friends.

3. When I was little, I had red hair.

4. I’m a black bean addict.

5. If I don’t go into fashion, I want to go into culinary arts as a pastry chef.

6. I never cry during movies, I just get goose bumps.

7. I am a big morning person, it’s my favorite time of day.

I pass this along to anyone who hasn’t gotten it yet – you all deserve it ;)

Have a good night!

  4. I love Sleepy Head! You should listen to Cuddle Fuddle, it's an awesome Passion Pit song.

You would be the world's cutest pastry chef... ever. You should check out the Academy Of Art University in San Francisco. They have incredible summer programs for Fashion. I did the fashion merchandising, fashion illustration and fashion journalism courses. Best summer of my life. You, of all people, would love it! Everyone is so incredibly artistic, you make amazing friends.

  9. Congratulations on the award, Emily - number 2 and 7 describe me to a T, as well!!

And, ummm...We Heart It. I spent four hours on that website last night because I was too tired to do anything else; and I literally found stunning picture after stunning picture after stunning picture. I'm addicted!!!

Ooh, nerves are definitely a toughie around the holidays. I find that, before I'm expected to sit down to feasts/big meals, I meditate in a way. I just lie down for awhile with my iPod on, and hug a stuffed animal really tightly. It kind of clears my head and relaxes me before stuffing myself. :)
