Hey there – I hope you all had a wonderful holiday :)
I have a whole bunch of pictures to share with you from yesterday’s festivities!
First off – pie making. With the help of my mom (alotta help), the apple pie was deemed a success. I actually documented the whole process!
Finished product?
It was so yummy! My mom got the recipe from William Sonoma – if you are looking for a delicious apple pie to make, this one’s a winner.
My mom also made these little pumpkin bread acorns, how cute are they?!
Here they are with a little cream cheese icing smooshed in the middle…
How ‘bout a little dusting of powdered sugar?
The table before the food arrived….
Our deep frying turkey tradition…
The table after the food arrived…
My mashed taters :)
I thought I would be a whole lot more stressed than I was. It was great – I felt anxious, but in the way that you are SUPPOSED to feel anxious…I wanted to eat! I didn’t overstuff myself and I’m not remorseful at all today, which feels wonderful :)
I am so thankful to have had a marvelous day yesterday, filled with lots of laughing, talking, and reminiscing. Being around family just made me realize how much more there is to life besides ED.
Enjoy the rest of this black Friday – and best wishes for the official start of this holiday season!
