Sum-it-up Sunday

That’s right, it’s Sum-it-up Sunday!

Every Sunday I’ll have a post where I wrap everything up for the week in the form of numbers :)

1. I got my homecoming dress and shoes!

Yes, those of you who have been reading already know that, but I have to put it on my list because I’m sooooo excited about it!

2. I managed to have a snack every single day this week.

Okay this is HUGE…I’ve transformed completely into a snacker.  Which is hard to believe, because last time I checked ED wasn’t okay with that.  But ED is no longer making the rules – he had to make way for mine.

3. I’ve fallen in love with the song “She-Wolf” by Shakira.

Yes, ‘tis true.  I can’t help but pressing the repeat button every time “She-Wolf” ends.  The only other songs that can get played completely through without being changed are anything of Vampire Weekend, “Young Folks” by Peter Bjorn and John, or anything MGMT.

4. I’m seriously blogger obsessed.

Move over facebook, blogger is my new numero uno.  Si bloggies, I can’t get enough, I’m really tempted to hack into it at school, but then again that would be a little extreme.  Blogger is now my new homepage, I’m not even kidding! You guys have such wonderful posts – that’s the source of the addiction ;)

5. I have accepted the fact that sometimes everything can’t be perfect.

This week interims came out, and ms. perfectionist wasn’t too happy with the A’s and the one B I got.  They simply just had to be A+’s to make her feel better.  Well, I’ve got news for her – I HAVE A LIFE.  Unlike last year, when I stayed in my room every single day doing homework and studying, I am going out and doing things now!  I have a social life, a work life, and a school life that I need to prioritize and balance.  Cut me a break!

6. Christmas has started in every retail vicinity known to man.

Does this bother anyone else?  You can ask anyone I know, I am the biggest Christmas freak around, but Christmas trees when it hasn’t even hit Halloween yet?!  Now that’s just a little too crazy for me.  I went into Lowe’s yesterday and I was greeted by the little figurine mini villages (I absolutely love those), trees, lights, blow up Santa's, and every ornament in stock.  Sorry, but I think I’m going to wait until late November- December to start getting into the spirit, which I never fail to do :)

7. I totally forgot to post my look for Friday!

So here it is -

9-6

- blue scoop neck shirt
- black elastic waist skirt (credit to my sister)
- gold ballerina flats

That’s it for this week – I have tomorrow off which I’m so happy about :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  5. Congratulations on your snacking! Thats so great. As of now the snack I am addicted to is apples with almond butter.

MGMT are so much fun. Instant mood lifter :]
'Lolipop' by Mika, has the same pick-me-up.

And yes, Christmas. It seems Halloween is being ignored.. isn't it usually Thanksgiving that gets the short end of the stick? Santa needs to back up and let the vampires come on through.

  6. Sum-It-Up Sunday! What a fabulous idea for a feature. This may be one of my new favorite posts by you - I am so going to watch for it each week.

Ah, you mentioned Vampire Weekend the Peter Bjorn and John's "Young Folks." Two of my serious addictions. You have to listen to Coconut Records - so amazing. And I'll listen to "She-Wolf" as I have yet to do so yet.

And Christmas...I'm guilty of putting the Christmas decorations (tree and all) up in my house the day after Halloween, so I can't talk. That's what I love about Christmas - the decorations. Sadly, it has become so commercialized over hte past few years - makes it seem like it's not even Christmas. :(

Have a great day at school - unless you're off today...Columbus Day and all. :)

  8. I love your style, that outfit is ravishing.
It is hard not to become obsessed with blogs. There are so many amazing people out there that you can only get to know through blogging. Reading what they have to say is an experience!
    You just become addicted :)
I may become addicted to your blog muahaha.
    So glad you found me.

    Stay strong, love <3

  9. oooooh! I am sooo excited to see you look like a princess in your homecoming dress!
And I LOVE blogging too, it is pretty much my life. Also, I am totally with you on the Christmas thing... it's like... Uh, what happened to Halloween and Thanksgiving. Merchandisers are so obsessed with making money they have forgotten what Christmas is all about!
